The sense (and nonsense) of core stability training
Core stability training is trending. The word is too easy. At Studio Feniks we are also excited to get started with your core. But we'd rather see it in a broader context. To explain our vision clearly to you, we start at the beginning: what is core stability, why do you have to train it and how do we approach it atStudio Feniks?
Core stability: what is that?
Core stability- also known as torso or core stability - actually focuses on all the deep muscles of your torso. Both your abdominal and back muscles, as well as the diaphragm and pelvic floor play an important role in this. It is these muscles that make you move and exercise as a whole.
Suppose you lift a 25 kilo bag, then of course it is not only your arm muscles that do all the work. At that moment, your coremuscles alsotake action. They ensure a good power transfer. And believe us, you use those muscles more than you might think.
Why choose a core stability training?
Do you have a sedentary job? Don't you move much? Then you hardly appeal to your muscles in general. Your torso muscles also get little training. With such weak core stability, your body has less power to carry itself or to function every day. And the consequences don't last ...
Among other things, low back pain, poor posture or injuries at the slightest movement are caused by poor core stability. In short: reasons to opt for a well thought-out core stability training.
Studio Feniks' approach
As personal trainers, we know perfectly how to optimally train your torso muscles. But instead of just focusing on your core,we believe more in an integrated approach.
In other words, during our sports sessions we combine a targeted core stability training with exercises for your arms, legs, and so on. The target? A fully fit and healthy body. And you can't achieve that with just a series of crunches.
Do you want to boost your core stability? Then go for a personal training at Studio Feniks and give all the muscles of your body a solid workout.
